Join the Stoops Center for Communities, Families, and Children at the Palm Beach County Library for a drop in event and reception. This event kicks off the travelling exhibit for the study titled “Photovoice Study on the Intersection of Substance Use, Child Welfare, and Family Preservation to Improve Understanding and Support of Mothers and Children.” The Photovoice Project focuses on the voices of mothers who have experienced the removal of their children by the child welfare system. Through photography and personal narratives, participants share powerful reflections on loss, resilience, and hope. This initiative seeks to elevate their stories, spark critical conversations, and inspire systems change to further support mothers and their children. A traveling public exhibit will bring these stories to libraries across Palm Beach County, fostering greater empathy and awareness around family well-being. Thank you to the Florida Institute of Child Welfare for funding this study.
