ART BASEL BRUNCH. Dance Performance: Roadkill by Sarah Lutzky

As part of our Art Basel Brunch, the Museum will host an immersive, avant-garde performance by artist Sarah Lutzky. Guests will enjoy a curated brunch offering with food, coffee, and drinks while experiencing this special program. The performance features Sarah Lutzky alongside four outstanding dancers in a two-hour, continuously unfolding work presented throughout the Museum. Attendees may stay for the full duration or witness select moments—each one vibrant, unexpected, and full of discovery. Roadkill weaves avant-garde dance and spoken word into a bold meditation on victimhood, mortality, and fear, using the encounter of a human traveler with a dead animal on the road as a powerful metaphor. The work confronts the fragility of life and the ways we navigate fear, loss, and the unknown. Sarah Lutzky, born and trained in Los Angeles, CA, is a visionary choreographer and multidisciplinary artist. A BFA graduate from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, she has presented her work at Martha Graham Studios, The Tank NYC, Chez Bushwick, Arts on Site NYC, and The Jack Crystal Theater, and is the founder of SLUT Dance Collective, exploring seldom-discussed phenomena through avant-garde performance and media. She is also a 2023 ETD New Choreographer Grant recipient. Roadkill offers a rare chance to experience contemporary performance art in a dynamic, museum setting. Don’t miss this immersive, thought-provoking, and unforgettable performance—and best of all, it’s free as part of the Art Basel Brunch program!
