Hosted by You’re Just My Type, Chris Ruden, and FireFight Pickleball You’re Just My Type [https://www.yourejustmytype.com] is a nonprofit focused on the emotional well-being of people with Type 1 diabetes. We create free, peer-support events that build community, reduce isolation, and foster lasting connections. Chris Ruden [https://chrisruden.com] is a world record–holding athlete, motivational speaker, and advocate for people with disabilities and diabetes. Living with Type 1 diabetes himself, he uses sport and storytelling to inspire resilience, break down stigma, and promote awareness on a global stage. FireFight Pickleball [https://www.instagram.com/firefightpickleball/?hl=en]is a South Florida–based pickleball events group partnering with us for the weekend. Come hang out, meet locals, hear guest speakers, browse our vendor village, and enjoy beginner-friendly pickleball. Your ticket includes all-day re-entry—come and go as you like. Join the parts you want or stay for everything. Schedule (Saturday — Community & Wellness Day, Free) • 8:00–9:00 AM: Check-In & Wristbands • 9:00–11:00 AM: Learn to Play + Open Play Demo game to walk through the rules, rotating beginner lessons, and courts available throughout this block. • 11:30 AM–1:00 PM: Guest Speakers (including Chris Ruden) + You’re Just My Type Community Activity + Lunch Break • 1:00–1:45 PM: Pickleball Cardio Clinic & Fastest Serve Challenge • 2:30–4:00 PM: Mini Tournament • 4:00 PM: Close More details: * All ages and skill levels welcome. * Paddles available for beginners while supplies last. * This is a community-first event focused on connection, learning, and play.
