Mysterious Mushrooms Nature Walk

Join us on this exciting nature walk at Halpatiokee Park, December 8, to uncover the mysteries of fungi in our forests! They come in all shapes and colors and often go unnoticed but mushrooms play an important role in our local ecosystems. For this hike we be guided by a mushroom specialist so come ready to learn about all the different aspects of these fabulous organisms. DETAILS FREE program, but reservations are required This program will begin at 9:00am and last until approximately 11:00am The nature walk will be about 1-2 miles across various natural surfaces Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult All participants will be required to sign waivers that will be provided at the start of the program VISITOR INFORMATION * If you are a visitor planning a trip to Martin County and would like to preregister for the event, please email ecotourism@martin.fl.us * Looking for an eco-friendly place to stay while visiting Martin County?
