Food Waste Prevention and Saving tips

Overview: Tampa Family Health Centers (TFHC) hosts an interactive gardening class about Food Waste Prevention. Learn the basics of saving money, reducing food waste, and how to compost kitchen food scraps. Each participant will receive a free, kitchen compost bin. This workshop is led by City of Tampa’s Solid Waste Department. Saturday, July 12th 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM TFHC Osborne Employee Breakroom Registration: This is a free class. TFHC will provide the materials, but registration is required. Please note: Call or email Nicole Pinson, npinson@hcnetwork.org or 813-459-3831, TFHC Garden Manager, to reserve your spot. Space is limited to 40 participants. Event Location: The class begins at 9:30 AM. We will meet in the Employee Breakroom at the Osborne center. 4620 N. 22nd St. Tampa FL 33611. You will receive an email with location details prior to the event. Please call Nicole Pinson, Garden Manager, if you need more information or assistance. We have a water cooler and snack machine, but we don’t have cups, so please bring a beverage or your refillable water bottle.
