Echoes of the Land: Hurricanes, History, and Storytelling Florida Humanities and Sacred Lands Preservation and Education are hosting “Echoes of the Land: Hurricanes, History, and Storytelling” which explores the ways people in the Tampa Bay region, past and present, have sought to understand and process the impact of hurricanes. This FREE program includes the following: Archeological Site Tours at 4:30 and 6:30 PM Do Tocobaga mounds keep Tampa safe from storms? Tour two well-preserved mounds and learn the real history and purpose of these Indigenous archeological sites Storytelling 4:30-7:30 PM Share your hurricane story and help build our collection of oral histories about the impact of storms on our community. Team Trivia 5:30-6:30 PM Play along with leading experts as they explore hurricane folklore, history, and preparedness through a fun and engaging game of trivia.
