A community conversation focusing on history, youth perspectives, and fostering inclusivity

Event Description The City of Sanford is committed to ensuring we are inclusive and accepting of all people, because the strength of our community is our diversity. The City of Sanford’s Race, Equality, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee and the Mayor’s Youth Council, in partnership with PJI, are hosting community conversations to hear the voice of our youth and work together to build a more equitable and inclusive future for all residents. This year, we will explore Sanford’s history while amplifying youth perspectives on the issues that matter most today. Agenda 6:00 p.m. Doors Open for a Free Boxed Meal 6:30 p.m. Program Begins 9:00 p.m. Program Ends Goals • Gain insight into how young people understand history and their thought's about what's happening today. • Create a safe and inclusive space for open dialogue where community members feel comfortable sharing their stories and experiences. • Strengthen relationships between diverse groups within the community to foster trust and collaboration.
