HMU BIPOC Mixer & Open House

This event is open to the public for those who identify as BIPOC. About the Event Curious about the HMU Loft but not quite ready to jump into a full party? This is your invitation to come connect, explore, and get to know the community in a relaxed, low-pressure environment centered on BIPOC connection and comfort. Whether you’re brand new, community-curious, or have been waiting for the right moment to step into the space, this open house was created with you in mind. But this is more than just a tour! It's an opportunity to meet and mix with other Black and Brown folks in the community, build familiarity with the Loft, and experience the vibe in a casual and welcoming setting. You’ll have the chance to: ✨Take a casual tour of the Loft ✨Meet our team and connect with other BIPOC community members ✨ Ask questions openly (nothing is too basic, awkward, or out of place here) ✨ Experience beginner-friendly activities and demonstrations in a supportive environment No pressure. No expectations. No need to “already know what you’re doing.” Just an easy, welcoming way to get oriented, build connections, and see if this community feels right for you. If you’ve been feeling shy, unsure, intimidated, or simply wanted a softer entry point into the scene, this space was intentionally created for that. Come solo or bring a friend. This event is centered on members of the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color) community. We ask all attendees to be mindful of the container and come with respect for the intention of the space. About Your Host Erebus is a New York–based dating coach, kink educator, and event organizer with a passion for fostering healthy, fulfilling connections. Identifying as a Dom and Sensual Sadist, Erebus brings a grounded, community-centered approach to conversations around intimacy, communication, and alternative relationship dynamics. Through education, events, and coaching, Erebus aims to create spaces where people can explore connection, authenticity, and pleasure without shame. FAQs FAQ: what should I bring? This event is BYOB. Feel free to bring your drink of choice! Beyond this, nothing more is needed. FAQ: any skill pre-requisites? (i.e., is this for beginners, advanced, everyone?) No pre-requisite skills are needed. This is a social event that is open to all members of the BIPOC community! FAQ: what should I wear? Casual dress code. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! FAQ: can I attend solo, or do I need to come with a partner? Either is fine! Most attendees will be arriving solo, but many opt to bring a partner as well!
