DAME DocuFest presents The (M) Factor Film Screening & FL Filmmaker Docs

DAME DocuFest will feature a dynamic lineup of powerful documentaries made by Central Florida filmmakers, each amplifying untold stories that challenge, inspire, and ignite change. Our feature presentation, "The M Factor: Shredding The Silence on Menopause," is a groundbreaking documentary that exposes the hidden struggles surrounding menopause and advocates for a much-needed revolution in women’s healthcare. Guiding the conversation following the feature presentation will be Jo Badger of Fairvilla University, serving as our emcee and panel discussion host. A career strategist and holistic wellness coach, Jo specializes in guiding women through life transitions. Now leading marketing for Fairvilla Stores and Fairvilla University, she is on a mission to destigmatize sexual wellness while keeping the experience fun and inviting. Joining the panel discussion are Jodi Hinkle, Dr. Stella Wilson, and Amber Baxter, each bringing invaluable expertise on menopause, women's health, and intimacy: * Jodi Hinkle, founder of HerQuest Coaching & Consulting, is a transformational guide specializing in emotional resiliency and self-empowerment. With over 20 years in healthcare, she helps women reframe midlife as a period of renewal rather than resistance. * Dr. Stella Wilson, a wellness coach and expert in natural hormone balance, provides science-backed solutions for menopause support, weight management, and holistic well-being through Be Balanced Natural Hormone Weight Loss and Dr. Stella Rx. * Amber Baxter, a certified sex educator with Fairvilla University, is a passionate advocate for women’s health, body confidence, and intimacy, ensuring women embrace every stage of life with knowledge and confidence. Arlene McQueen, co-founder of DAME DocuFest, shared her excitement about the event: "This is a free event, honoring our voices in community and storytelling. And hey, who doesn’t love an event where we discuss women’s sexual wellness later in life —it’s going to be an unforgettable day!" Amy Murphy and Mary A. Toyama, co-founders of DAME DocuFest and both local filmmakers, expressed their enthusiasm: "We are over the moon that our feature presentation is the first-ever documentary on the science behind menopause, and that every other documentary highlighted is produced or directed by a Central Florida filmmaker!"
