ABOUT THE PROGRAM What we'll do: Discover the magic of turning plants into paper! In this hands-on workshop, kids will learn how banana stems and other fiber-producing plants from South Florida and the Caribbean can be trandsofrmed into beautiful eco-friendly papermaking. Participants will get creative as they make their own eco-friendly paper using banana stem pulp, while exploring the cultural and environmental significance of plant-based materials. 🍌🍂 Highlights: * Learn about traditional fiber plants like banana * Make your own handmade paper from banana stems * Explore the history of fiber making in the Caribbean and South Florida * Take home your paper creations to use in art or storytelling Program Details Location: Vizcaya Village Farmers Market Dates: Select Sundays, November 2025 – June 2026 Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Ages: 5–12 (must be accompanied by a caregiver) General Admission and Member Tickets: Free with RSVP (registration required; capacity is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis)
