The Menil Collection presents a guided bus tour of key Houston Civil Rights sites—churches, schools, and neighborhoods—led by Dr. Lindsay Gary, founder of Sawari Tours and Visit Black Houston. Itinerary: 11–11:15 a.m. Board bus. The pickup location is outside the Menil's main building, on Sul Ross and Mulberry Streets. 11:15 a.m. Bus departs. 11:30 a.m. Site 1: NAACP Houston Branch (drive-by). 11:40 a.m. Site 2: Texas Southern University (off-bus walking stop). 12:15 p.m. Site 3: Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church (drive-by). 12:30 p.m. Site 4: First sit-in (off-bus walking stop). 12:55 p.m. Bus returns to the Menil Collection.
