This event is brought to you by A Reflection of Me, Inc, Juicing With Art, The City of Miami, Miami Dade County Mayor’s Office and the County Commissioners. This event is designed to uplift, inspire, and honor the rich culture and resilience of Haiti through a month-long immersive experience from May 1–31, 2025, at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex (212 NE 59th Ter, Miami, FL 33137). It will feature an art exhibition, guided tours, and a signature live event on Sunday, May 11. The Night's Highlights: Co-Hosted by: Michaila Hightower of WPLG Local 10 News and Brian Sylvestre Professional Soccer Goalkeeper Art Exhibition by Zeek Mathias - This multidisciplinary artist will showcase thought-provoking works exploring identity, culture, and belonging through diverse media. Acoustic Musical Performance by Strings - The internationally acclaimed band will treat attendees to infusing Spanish Classical Guitar with Afro-Caribbean melodies Keynote Speaker Castro Desroches – Author, professor, and Humorist Dance by NSL Danse Ensemble - This renowned Haitian dance troupe will take the stage with mesmerizing choreography celebrating the movement and spirit of Haiti. Singers Ernst Pierre and Dr. Nancy Calixte will transport us through time in Haiti’s story Experience the sounds of saxophonist Wildmayer Marcelin Theatrical Performance by Ny Toussaint and Samuel Duperval - Experience a captivating theatrical piece highlighting Haitian storytelling traditions. Live painting by Willandra McGahee Poetry by Zazou Pierre - Two celebrated poets will share their works paying tribute to Haitian culture through verse. A message of perseverance and hope from Jinia Williams Cuisine - Guests can savor hors d'oeuvres prepared with vibrant flavors during cocktail hour.
