NEFAR - Clean Up Northeast Florida Waters

Help keep our Northeast Florida waters sparkling clean by joining NEFAR as it hosts its annual Clean Up Florida Waters event on July 18th. The event will take place at a variety of boat ramps throughout the First Coast including: - Northside Area & Property Management Councils at Bert Maxwell Boat Ramp - Southwest Area Council at Knights Boat Ramp & Marina/Black Creek - Beaches Area & Ponte Vedra Area Councils at Helen Cooper Floyd Park/Mayport - GBC/CAR at North Riverwalk/Sidney Geffen Riverwalk Park - YPN/Mandarin & St. Johns Councils at the Lion's Club Boat Ramp/Arlington -Historic Council / Wayne B. Stephens Boat Ramp Ortega - Private boat owners will meet at 8:00 am at Lion's Club Boat Ramp/Arlington to help clean up uninhabited island in the St. Johns River. There will be gloves, grabbers, trash bags, water, and snacks provided. All participants will receive a t-shirt and are invited to the after party that will be held at the NEFAR Resource Center from 12 pm - 2 pm. Food, drinks, games, and a raffle will be part of the fun.
