Archaeology Lab Day!
How do we know what we know about the past? Archaeology is so much more than digging! Scientists spend much more time analyzing artifacts in the lab and writing reports than they do excavating in the field. Join FPAN Southeast in the Jupiter Lighthouse ONA classroom to get some hands-on experience washing and sorting historic artifacts from our Shining a Light on the Past Field School, in partnership with the Jupiter Inlet Lighthhouse Outstanding Natural Area and the Bureau of Land Management! Please wear closed-toe shoes, avoid dangling jewelry, and be advised that food and water are not permitted to be consumed inside the lab. Free parking is available onsite!
