Mary Ann Carrol: Queen of the Highwaymen Panel Discussion with the Curators and special guest, Dr. Rene Mills Join us for a special morning honoring the life and legacy of Mary Ann Carrol, the only female member of the legendary Florida Highwaymen art movement. We’ll begin the day with complimentary coffee and time to explore the powerful solo retrospective, Queen of the Highwaymen: A Solo Retrospect of Mary Ann Carrol, currently on view at the Terrace Gallery. From 10:30–11:00 AM, guests are invited to experience the vibrant, evocative work that captured Florida’s natural beauty through the eyes of a true trailblazer. From 11:00 AM–12:00 PM, enjoy a moderated panel discussion with the exhibition’s curators, Mark J. Lerner & John Biederwolf known as the Highwaymen Collectors, joined by a speical guests Dr. Rene Mills, one of Mary Ann Carrol’s daughter's and Lance Walker, the world's leading collector of Highwaymen paintings and Florida Self-Taught artist. The conversation will offer personal insight into Carrol’s life, artistic journey, and enduring impact on the art world and beyond. This event is free and open to the public.
