The Thrift Social: Melrose Trading Post Meetup A community for thrift lovers. Love thrifting? Vintage furniture? Hidden gems? Or just looking to meet new people who appreciate great style and great company? Join The Thrift Social, a community meetup designed for people who love the thrill of the hunt and want to experience Los Angeles' best vintage spots together. Your guide for the day is Justin Cox, founder of some of LA's most recognized cultural experiences, including Hotwater Cornbread, Trap Poetry Jam, Southern R&B & Waffles, R&B & Chicken Wings, and many more. After more than 20 years of thrifting throughout Los Angeles, Justin has discovered countless hidden gems and collected many of the vintage pieces that now fill his home. This Sunday, we'll kick things off with one of LA's most iconic vintage destinations: Melrose Trading Post. SCHEDULE 11:00 AM – Meet at Starbucks (Melrose) We'll start with a casual meet-and-greet so everyone can get to know one another before heading inside. We'll also have a fun pre-game before we shop. Grab your favorite Starbucks drink, and if you'd like, Justin will provide alcohol for anyone 21+ who wants to spike their beverage. If you'd like anything beyond that, please bring it yourself. Afterward, we'll head into Melrose Trading Post together and spend the afternoon hunting for vintage clothing, furniture, décor, records, collectibles, and unique finds. Once we've thrifted, we'll grab lunch together at Dilans Caribbean Grill, where our group will receive 10% off. (You're welcome to eat elsewhere if you prefer.) COST Your RSVP reserves your spot in the meetup. Please note: * Melrose Trading Post admission is $6 per person. * Shopping purchases, food, drinks, and any other personal expenses are the responsibility of each attendee.
