HMU Tie Me Down: Hot, Dirty Rope

A 21+ rope bondage workshop for pairs covering practical bedroom ties and safety skills

This Hit Me Up event is open to the public, 21+. About the Class Rope bondage has often been perceived as complex, with a difficult learning curve that can discourage beginners and make implementing rope in the bedroom feel more like a test than like play. This class attempts to flatten that curve by stretching the limits of what is possible, exploring practical bedroom applications of foundational ties learned in introductory rope courses. Through pragmatic discussion and a series of hands-on exercises, students will be challenged to think more comprehensively about exposure, tension, flow, and risk as it pertains to bedroom bondage. Participants will leave feeling more confident in their rope handling skills as it pertains to physical intimacy, and with a better understanding of how to use rope in their scenes at home. About Your Facilitator BreadnRope is a rope artist based in Brooklyn. With over a decade of tying experience, he has collaborated with Torture Garden, City of Gods, House of Yes, House of X, Eris, CX, and assisted Hajime Kinoko on his live web installation performances in New York and Los Angeles. Locally, he contributed the rope web at Xanadu Roller Rink. His signature bread-shibari can be seen in Cake Zine’s issue ‘Daily Bread’. FAQs FAQ: what should I bring? Bring a pair of safety shears or other emergency tool, and a rope kit of at least three hanks of rope - half pieces and other shorter lengths are very useful for this class. FAQ: any skill pre-requisites? (i.e., is this for beginners, advanced, everyone?) Pre-requisites for those tying are a single-column tie and a double-column tie. Pre-requisites for those being tied are confident in-rope communication skills. FAQ: what should I wear? Wear something you feel comfortable moving in, like yoga clothes, or dress down to your comfort level, keeping all genitals covered. FAQ: can I attend solo, or do I need to come with a partner? You must come with a partner. Tickets are sold as a pair, and no ties are meant to be self-tied.
