Join us for the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve for its 5th symposium: State of the Watershed: Threats, Challenges, and Opportunities. This two-day symposium will highlight research, restoration, and partnerships within the Reserve and adjacent areas. It will feature sessions on river and floodplain ecology, metabolism, habitat status and changes, and restoration. This in-person event offers a valuable forum to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration, and inspire science-based solutions that strengthen stewardship of this nationally significant estuarine system. Through presentations and discussions, participants will deepen their understanding of the watershed’s current condition, explore opportunities to colloborate the long-term health and productivity of the system, and identify emerging threats. 📍 Location: Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve Nature Center 📅 Dates: Thursday, February 26, 2026 | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (EST) Lunch will be provided.
