New Years Nature Hike
Welcome the New Year with a scenic 2.5 mile guided hike through Mapp Creek Preserve. This beautiful natural experience offers the perfect balance of movement, reflection, and discovery as we explore native habitats and learn about the plants, wildlife, and ecosystems that make this landscape so unique. Designed for those looking to start the year with intention and adventure, this hike celebrates fresh beginnings while highlighting the importance of protecting Florida’s natural spaces. Whether you’re here to learn, explore, or simply enjoy a peaceful walk in nature, this hike is a meaningful way to start your New Year. DETAILS FREE program, but reservations are required This program will begin at 9:00am and last until approximately 11:00pm The length of this walk will be 2.5 miles on natural surfaces and hardpacked dirt Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear for a longer hike Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult No pets All participants will be required to sign waivers that will be provided at the start of the program VISITOR INFORMATION If you are a visitor planning a trip to Martin County and would like to preregister for the event, please email ecotourism@martin.fl.us Looking for an eco-friendly place to stay while visiting Martin County?
