THE SUM: A Developmental Reading

THE SUM is a new one-man theatrical work created and performed by Broadway actor Akron Watson, blending music, storytelling, humor, memory, and reflection to explore identity, ambition, faith, and the cost of becoming. Part concert, part confession, and part theatrical memoir, the piece traces one artist’s journey from Texas stages to Broadway, television, and film. This developmental reading offers audiences an early look at a theatrical work currently in process. Runtime: Approximately 75 minutes. Reading begins promptly at 7:30 PM.
