About the Presentation: This presentation, Future-Ready Systems Engineers: Designing Education for a Changing World, explores how to equip engineers for emerging global challenges. Dr. Szopa begins by examining how well U.S. universities currently teach systems engineering and where gaps remain. She proposes forward-looking strategies to align education with the demands of complexity, sustainability, and digital transformation. The session encourages rethinking curricula to cultivate adaptable, interdisciplinary, and innovation-driven systems engineers. About the Presenter: Dr. Anna Szopa is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Central Florida, specializing in innovation, leadership, and systems engineering education. She holds a PhD in Innovation and Technology Management and has taught at universities across the U.S. and Europe. Her research spans inclusive technologies, digital literacy, and interdisciplinary systems design. Dr. Szopa is passionate about preparing future systems engineers to navigate complexity through creativity and responsible innovation.
