The Volusia County Explore Volusia program invites you to join Environmental Specialist Tommy Nordmann on a one-mile hike through Wiregrass Prairie Preserve and discover many of the flowers native to Volusia County. ** Important note: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program. ACTIVITY: This will be a moderate 1-mile walk. RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered. TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary. AGES: Ages eight and up are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothing for the outdoors WHAT TO BRING: water, bug spray, sunscreen FACILITIES: There is a port-a-let but no running water on site.
