REGISTRATION OPENS 12/22 AT 12:00PM WHY: Relaxation technique to help alleviate irritability, lower blood pressure, and increase focus. DETAILS: ERM staff will guide you on a modified version of Shinrin-yoku, the Japanese practice of forest bathing, the art of connecting with nature through our senses. All you have to do is accept the invitation, Mother Nature does the rest. Participants will be led on a slow-paced, quiet 1.75 mile walk through the scrub on sandy and paved trails. Every so often, ERM staff will instruct the group to complete passive activities designed to help you focus your senses to physically and mentally connect with nature. Cell phones should be turned off completely prior to the hike to limit distractions. This event IS NOT designed for small children. Bring a towel to sit on for your own comfort. Dress for the weather (heat, sun, wind, cold, rain) and bring a refillable water bottle. This site does not have restroom facilities.
