Teach-In w/ Nadege Green (Black Miami Weekend)

Join us for an immersive teach-in with Nadege Green, founder of Black Miami-Dade, a public history and storytelling platform dedicated to preserving and honoring Black Miami’s past. We’ll gather beneath the trees at historic Legion Park for an intimate, community-rooted experience as Nadege guides us through the layered foundations of Miami, centering the Black communities, cultural traditions, and untold stories that shaped the city long before its mainstream narrative took hold. Through storytelling, archival insight, and place-based learning, this teach-in invites us to see Miami through a fuller lens, one that resists erasure and honors the people, movements, and memories that continue to define its past, present, and future.
