Sculpting Sound

Celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens with an intimate evening of music, art, and storytelling inside the historic Capen House. Sculpting Sound: A Musical Portrait of Albin Polasek features award-winning violinist Ilana Zaks in a multimedia recital inspired by the life and creative legacy of Czech-American sculptor Albin Polasek. Through works by European and American composers, the program traces Polasek’s artistic journey—exploring how sound, form, and personal history intersect. Guests are invited to arrive early and enjoy light refreshments in the sculpture gardens before the performance. Ilana Zaks is a graduate of the New England Conservatory and Yale School of Music and performs regularly throughout Central Florida. Her interdisciplinary approach blends classical music with visual art and narrative, offering a thoughtful and immersive concert experience. This program is supported in part by an Individual Artist Award from United Arts of Central Florida
