Community Conversations on Stigma, Mental Health, and Substance Use

A series of workshops for open discussions on reducing stigma around mental health and substance use

Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare is proud to host a series of Stigma Reduction Workshops in partnership with UR Medicine Recovery Center of Excellence, focused on addressing one of the biggest barriers to mental health, substance use, and seeking care. This is not an academic workshop about stigma. It is a conversation for participants to explore stigma, how we support people with substance use disorder (SUD) and their families, and how we work together in our communities to reduce stigma. We use video interviews of people with lived experience to facilitate discussion, making it very interactive. Attendees may park in the parking lot and enter through the hospital entrance. Walk through the lobby to the board room. The board room is located at the front of the hospital just right of the lobby.
