Welcome to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service 2026 event! Join us at Belafonte Tacolcy Center (Parking Lot) on January 17, 2026 at 9:00 AM (Eastern Time) to honor Dr. King's legacy through community service. Let's come together to make a positive impact in our neighborhood. Don't miss this opportunity to contribute to a greater cause and celebrate unity. Volunteers will be engage in various service activities to include painting, mulching, litter removal, and planting on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard between 62nd Street and 10th Avenue to 22nd Avenue; 54th Street and 6th Avenue (Butterfly Garden East and West); and 62nd Street and 6th Avenue (MLK Marquee). Wear sturdy shoes, comfortable clothing, and sunscreen; bring your gloves (disposable gloves will be provided); masks (optional). Breakfast snacks and other refreshments will be provided. Project orientation will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. Volunteers will be transported to project sites as needed. No matter your age or background, everyone is welcome to participate!
