Join Florida State's Department of Urban Planning Student Association as we host our first ever Urban Planning Film Series. Admission is free to the public. Refreshments will be provided. Our final film to be shown is A Thousand and One (2023) on the historical campus of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. In the defining role of her career, Teyana Taylor stars as the sharp-witted and self-reliant Inez, a talented hair dresser and mother who takes her own son back from the foster system. Set in Giuliani's then Bloomberg’s New York; A Thousand and One is the tale of a mother’s ambition, as she and her son endeavor to find a place of their own in the city of dreams as it transforms into the real estate capital of the world.
